Pinkan Mambo Stage Action Makes a Stir, Can Really Get Paid This Much?

Dream - Pinkan Mambo was chosen as one of the performers at the Playlist Live Festival 2022 held in Bandung last weekend.

Pinkan Mambo caused a sensation among social media users with her actions on stage. The former Duo Ratu member performed at the Playlist Festival event in Bandung, West Java.

This 42-year-old woman performed the song Kekasih Gelap (Dark Lover). When performing, Pinkan appeared very energetic.

Pinkan even lay down on the stage and walked on her knees when she stood up.

This action by the former duet partner of Maia Estianty immediately caught the attention of the audience. Especially since Pinkan wore a super mini black skirt during her performance.

Pinkan Mambo's Confession: Having Only Rp10 Thousand, Buying 1 Liter of Rice

Dream - Pinkan Mambo tells a bitter story from her past when she was no longer active in the entertainment industry. Pinkan revealed that in order to support her six children, she used to sell bananas.

She was willing to sell bananas using a motorcycle while taking her children from one stall to another. Pinkan was not ashamed to be labeled as a famous singer.

Pinkan also collected small change ranging from two to five thousand. That amount was far from Pinkan's income when she was still a famous singer.

"I sold fried bananas from one stall to another using a motorcycle with my child, I only made a profit of five thousand, two thousand, I collected small change, very sad. Usually, when I had a lot of money, I treated my friends from one end to the other, I wouldn't go home until the money ran out. I was stressed back then," said Pinkan Mambo, as quoted by Dream from Melaney Ricardo's YouTube channel, Thursday, September 10, 2020.

The former member of the Ratu duo also admitted to having only Rp10,000 from the profits of selling bananas. Pinkan used the money to buy one liter of rice.

"I collected a profit of Rp10,000 from selling, then I went to the minimart. I told Misya (Pinkan's child), we have ten thousand, what should we buy," Pinkan said while crying.

Since there was no additional money, Pinkan said that she could only buy one liter of rice and one bottle of syrup for herself and her children.

"Okay, let's buy one liter or half a liter of rice, then the children need vitamins, so we buy syrup so that the children have nutrition," added Pinkan.

Not only that, Pinkan revealed that she was once burdened with a debt of up to Rp100 million. She was often chased by debt collectors who kept coming to her house.

"I had a lot of debt, more than Rp100 million. I couldn't even afford Rp100,000. The debt collector said I had to pay Rp20 million, but I only had Rp5,000. Where would I get the money from? Because I used to be a singer, I didn't know what to do when I stopped singing," said Pinkan.

"I didn't know how to live a difficult life, I didn't understand how to sell things (back then). I didn't know what job to do (when I stopped being a singer), I had no job for five years," Pinkan added.

But since she struggled to sell and use her brain, she was finally able to develop that business. She started to be able to pay off her debt by Rp5 million every month.

"But God gave me a way out of my debt, I could pay off a lot of it by paying Rp5 million (every month). I imagined going to jail when I had to pay off the debt, I was very sad if I couldn't see my children," said Pinkan.
