Ancient animals like dinosaurs, attract the interest of both children and adults. Unfortunately, dinosaur bones are very difficult to find because these remains are buried under thousands of years of soil and sedimentary rocks. But there are some lucky ones who have found almost the entire skeleton.
1. Haddy, the Hadrosaurus
This dinosaur had a body similar to a duck and lived about 80 million years ago. In October 1858, William Parker Foulke conducted excavations at Marl Pits in Haddonfield, New Jersey.
"At that time, Haddy was the most complete dinosaur skeleton ever found."
Currently, he is a very incomplete skeleton but is displayed at the Academy of Natural Sciences. Haddy is very important to the scientific community because of the remains of his skeleton, thus Hadrosaurus is now the official dinosaur of the state of New Jersey.

2. Scotty, the Tyrannosaurus Rex
Scotty is a very large Tyrannosaurus rex specimen with a completeness level of about 65-70%.
"He is one of the heaviest and most immature specimens of its kind, weighing 8.8 tons and being 23-27 years old at the time of its death. Scotty likely died due to a parasitic infection, which was common in T-rexes at that time."
The discovery of Scotty was made in 1991 in the Frenchman River Valley, Saskatchewan, Canada by Robert Gebhardt.
3. Big John, the Triceratops
This creature has a height of 9.8 feet, a length of 26 feet, and weighs 1500 pounds. Almost 60% of the skeleton was found during excavation, with the skull being 75% complete. Big John is over 66 million years old.
The scientists speculate about his death, that he may have been fighting with another dinosaur and suffered a neck injury that later became infected. Big John was discovered in May 2014 by Walter W. Stein in the Hell Creek Geological Formation in South Dakota. Hell Creek is a common site for archaeological excavations and paleontological studies. Big John was sold at auction to a private collector for $7.7 million, making it the most expensive triceratops skeleton to date.
4. Stan, the Tyrannosaurus Rex
Stan is a T-rex fossil with a completeness of 70%. Stan is the second most complete T-rex skeleton ever found, after Trix and Sue (more about them later).
The following 'Bahasa' text translated to 'English' while preserving any html tags: "This large dinosaur was discovered by Stan Sacrison in 1987 in the Hell Creek geological formation in South Dakota. Its bones are covered with bite marks and wounds, indicating that it managed to survive many confrontations, but its size proves that it was able to endure. The theory of its death ranges from the possibility that it died from disease or old age. Stan's fossil was purchased at an auction for $31.8 million and is currently on display at the Black Hills Institute in Hill City, South Dakota."
5. Trix, the Tyrannosaurus Rex
The translation of the given 'Bahasa' text to 'English' while preserving any html tags is: "The completeness level of Trix fossil reaches 75-80%, with most of its bones in good condition for analysis. It is not yet clear whether Trix is a female, but this specimen is designated as female."
By measuring the carbon in its bones, scientists speculate that Trix was nearly 30 years old when it died. Trix suffered from several illnesses and possibly had a birth defect in its ribs, ultimately succumbing to a parasitic infection in its mouth or throat. The discovery of Trix was made by Blaine and Michele Lunstad from the Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Leiden, Netherlands.
6. Horridus, the Triceratops
Horridus is a species of triceratops and one of the largest and most complete specimens ever found. It measures 23 feet long, 6 feet tall, and weighs 2200 pounds.
Almost 260 bones were found, making Horridus's completeness reach 85%. In addition, its skull is 98% complete. Horridus lived 67 million years ago and died near or in a river due to unknown issues (at the time this article was written).
The following HTML tags will be preserved in the translation: Triceratops ini ditemukan di Montana pada tahun 2014. Sisa-sisanya saat ini dipamerkan di Melbourne Museum di Australia. The translation of the text is: The Triceratops was discovered in Montana in 2014. Its remains are currently exhibited at the Melbourne Museum in Australia.
7. Sue, the Tyrannosaurus Rex
The translation of the given 'Bahasa' text to 'English' while preserving the HTML tags is as follows: "The completeness level of the fossil reaches 90%, with 250 bones successfully recovered out of a total of 380, and approximately 42 feet long. Sue lived 67 million years ago and died at the age of 28."
Sue has more bite marks, indicating that she may have suffered a fatal bite on her neck.
Sue was discovered on August 12, 1990, by Sue Henrickson. This specimen was named after Sue for the impressive discovery on the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation in South Dakota.

8. Fossil of Dinosaur Fights (Dueling Dinosaurs)
"'Dueling Dinosaurs' are two skeletons (teenage T-rex with triceratops) trapped in sandstone. Together, 'Dueling Dinosaurs' have a completeness level of 98%."
This specimen was discovered in 2006 by the team of Clayton Phipps, Mark Eatman, and Chad O'Connor. The trio was digging in the Hell Creek Formation in Montana when they found an impressive fossil after a few minutes of digging. Their bones showed damage from bites and horn marks, indicating that they were fighting. The 'Dueling Dinosaurs' fossil is currently on display at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.
