Recently, archaeologists in Peru discovered a tomb containing more than 73 human mummies that date back approximately 1,000 years ago, long before the western part of South America was ruled by the Inca Empire. Each mummy in the tomb was carefully preserved using cloth, with some of them being colorful and tied with strings. Source: Scientific American
Some male and female mummies were found wearing wooden masks and ceramic artifacts known as "false heads."
Krzysztof Makowski, who is the head of archaeological research at the site and an archaeologist at the Catholic University of Peru, announced this discovery through a post on the Archeowiesci blog, managed by the Faculty of Archaeology at the University of Warsaw. In addition, colorful ceramics were also found at several burial sites.

The following is the translation of the given 'Bahasa' text to 'English' while preserving any html tags: "The Wari culture is famous for its good preservation of mummies, intricate arts such as ceramic and textile crafts designed with detail. In addition, they practiced human trepanation and used hallucinogenic substances during religious ceremonies. Afterward, two wooden sticks were found by researchers near the burial site, which is located among the remains of the nearest settlement."
The following translation preserves the HTML tags: "The sticks were found in the middle of the 'spiny oyster shell,' which is likely to originate from Ecuador."
Although the excavation process is still ongoing, this finding provides a deep understanding of the culture, intercultural interactions, and religious practices during that period in South America.
This research also provides further insights into the development of Pachacamac from a simple settlement to a significant site during the Inca Empire in the 15th century.
The statue discovered by researchers appears to be holding its reproductive organ with both hands.
