"Dream - Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora RI), Dito Ariotedjo, emphasizes the government's commitment to support disabled athletes. One of them is through the development of a Paralympic sports training center in Karanganyar."
This was conveyed by the Minister of Youth and Sports in his speech when releasing the Indonesian Contingent for the 2022 Asian Para Games in Hangzhou at Surakarta City Hall, Saturday, October 14, 2023 morning.
In that opportunity, the Minister of Youth and Sports asked the athletes about the desired location to meet the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), after returning from the Asian Para Games. The majority of athletes answered that they wanted to meet the President in Solo.
Groundbreaking Pusat Pelatihan Olahraga Paralimpik translates to "Groundbreaking Paralympic Sports Training Center" in English.
Dito also agreed to the matter and mentioned that later the meeting will also be groundbreaking or the first stone laying for the construction of the Paralympic sports training center in Karanganyar.
