"The Siloam Pool was discovered during excavations in the ancient city by the Israel Antiquities Authority, Israel National Parks Authority, and City of David Foundation. Archaeologists stated that the Siloam Pool, which holds religious significance for Christians and Jews, will be opened to the public soon. 'The ongoing excavations in the City of David (the ancient name for Jerusalem), particularly the Siloam Pool and the Pilgrimage Road, stand as one of the greatest pieces of evidence of this heritage,' said Ze'ev Orenstein, director of International Affairs at the City of David Foundation."

Orenstein explains that this site stretches from the Siloam Pool in the south to the Pilgrimage Road, the Western Wall, the Southern Steps, and the Temple Mount. This area is considered the most significant half-mile in the world, marking the biblical heritage of Jerusalem that involves many people from various beliefs.

"There is not a half mile that means more to more people affirming the biblical heritage of Jerusalem. Not just because of faith, but also as a reality," he added. Orenstein concluded by emphasizing the importance of uncovering historical heritage and ancient artifacts as concrete evidence that this site has existed for thousands of years."
