Dream - A resident of Glundengan Village, Wuluhan District, Jember Regency, East Java named Supiati experienced bruising all over her body due to being a victim of domestic violence committed by her husband, Toheri.
In the video uploaded on Instagram @kegoblogan.unfaedah, Supiati appears weak because her hands are tied. She seems to be in a warehouse.
Apparently, before being found by local residents, she was tortured by her husband in the cowshed. Until finally, she managed to escape and take refuge in one of the unused warehouses.
Supiati did not stop screaming until the residents found her and gave her drinking water. Her face looked pale and tired, especially her two blackened eyes due to blows from wood. Both of her legs were also full of wounds, while her hands, which were tied with cloth, started to turn black.
According to the statement of the Wuluhan Police Chief, AKP Solekhan Arief, domestic violence (KDRT) started when Supiati migrated to Medan, North Sumatra, on December 23, 2023, without saying goodbye to her husband. Supiati went to Medan to work as a domestic helper.
Supiati worked in Medan for two months, then only returned home on March 4, 2024. When she returned home, her husband was angry and immediately hit her.
"After this incident, the residents reported that Supiati had experienced severe violence as evidenced by bruises all over her body, especially on her head and torso."
