The Penn Museum in Philadelphia, United States (US), reported the discovery of an ancient human skull dating back 6,500 years. This skull is known as "Noah or Nuh" due to its connection to the great flood during the time of Prophet Noah.

This skull was found after being hidden for 85 years in the basement of the museum. Unfortunately, all documents that could identify these remains have disappeared.
This discovery originated from excavations carried out in 1929-1930 by a joint team from the Penn Museum and the British Museum, led by Sir Leonard Woolley. These excavations were conducted at the Ur-Kasdim site, which is currently located in southern Iraq.

Woolley and his team continued their excavation after discovering the Royal Tomb, and after reaching a depth of about 12 meters, they found a layer of mud. From this finding, Woolley concluded that initially, Ur-Kasdim was a small island in the middle of the surrounding marshes before experiencing a great flood that covered the entire area.
One of the tombs, where the skull was found, is located in a very deep layer of mud, indicating that the individual lived after the great flood occurred. This skull is surprising because it is much older, around 2,000 years, compared to the skeletons found in the famous Mesopotamian "royal tombs" discovered by Woolley at the same location in Ur-Kasdim.
This skull indicates that the individual is a tough man, aged around 50 years or older. According to officials from Penn, human skulls from the period of 5500 to 4000 BC are very rare to find, especially those that are still intact.
Placed in the Museum.
William Hafford, Project Manager of Archaeological Digitization at the Penn Museum, successfully traced the trail of this skull to the museum. Woolley, diligently, removed the skull, coated it with wax, mounted it on a piece of wood, and lifted it with the surrounding soil using a burlap cloth rope.
The following text is already in English.
Although this skull is much older than the holy book records, the name "Utnapishtim" may be more appropriate for it. This name is inspired by a character in the epic of Gilgamesh who is recognized as the survivor of the great flood.
