Dream - More than 70 percent of the Earth's surface is covered by water, including oceans. The vastness of the ocean continues to pique human curiosity about what lies beneath the water. In fact, there are many natural phenomena in the waters that are said to hold many mysteries. One of them is a large sinkhole called the Great Blue Hole in Belize, a country in North America.

When they successfully reached the mysterious bottom, they discovered something that may have been unimaginable before. This hole is located 70 kilometers from the coast of Belize. Great Blue Hole or Lubang Besar Biru has a width of about 300 meters (984 feet) and a depth of about 125 meters (410 feet). Its vastness makes it one of the largest sinkholes in the world.

Although marine life is found at greater depths, when they reach a depth of 90 meters, signs of life begin to decrease. According to Erika Bergman, who participated in the expedition, this condition is caused by the presence of hydrogen sulfide layers around the hole. Besides being toxic, it also hampers oxygen from reaching that depth.
