Dream - Maintaining the health of our body organs is a way to ensure that life can proceed well and comfortably. If the health of our body organs is disturbed, it can have an impact on our daily lives. Do not let yourself experience health problems that threaten your life, like this Taiwanese woman.
Women from Taiwan recently underwent surgery to remove no less than 300 small stones from her right kidney.
A 20-year-old woman named Xiao Yu is being treated at a hospital in the city of Tainan earlier this month. She complained of severe pain in her lower back and had a fever.
When conducting a blood test, it was revealed that the number of white blood cells in Xiao Yu's body is unusual. The amount is very high, exceeding the normal range.
Doctor ordered a CT scan which showed that Yu's right kidney is filled with fluid. Not only that, the woman's right kidney from Taiwan is almost full of kidney stones.
The first action taken by the doctor is to give antibiotics to the young woman. After that, the doctor drains fluid from her kidneys and performs surgery to remove hundreds of stones inside them.
In the end, the doctor successfully removed more than 300 stones, with diameters ranging from 5mm to 2cm. According to Taiwan News website, most of these stones have an appearance similar to mini bakpao bread.
There are several factors that can cause the formation of kidney stones. In this case, Yu does not like drinking plain water at all. Instead, he relies on sweet tea and juice that he buys on the roadside to quench his thirst.
This causes chronic dehydration, a condition in which urine becomes more concentrated and minerals in it crystallize into stones. Urologists at Chi Mei Hospital in Tainan are urging the public to drink plenty of water.
This is to ensure that the body can process sugar, salt, and calcium intake properly. Doctors use Xiao Yu's case as a warning about what can happen in cases of extreme dehydration.
