Dream - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated Andi Amran Sulaiman as the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) at the State Palace, Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
Replace Syahrul Yasin Limpo
Appointment based on Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 101/P of 2023 regarding the appointment of the Minister of Agriculture for the period 2019-2024. Amran was inaugurated as the Minister of Agriculture after NasDem politician Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) resigned some time ago from the Cabinet of Indonesia Maju.
Amran Sulaiman then took an oath and position in front of Jokowi. He promised to work to the best of his ability.
"Before I administer the oath regarding your appointment as the Minister of Agriculture, I will ask you, are you willing to take the oath?"
Jokowi said, "Amran is requested to be willing to be sworn in before being inaugurated."

As information, Amran replaces Syahrul Yasin Limpo's position who resigned due to alleged corruption case.

"He previously served as the Minister of Agriculture during the Working Cabinet era of Jokowi's administration from 2014 to 2019. Amran is also known as a businessman from Makassar. Previously, President Jokowi announced that a reshuffle would be conducted this week. However, Jokowi did not disclose the exact date when the reshuffle will take place."
