Dream - Social media has recently been abuzz with screenshots showing the appearance of a point on the Google Maps application called 'Family Court'. The point is located at the Constitutional Court building (MK).
The Family Court modified by netizens on Google Maps is located at Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat No. 6 RT 2/RW 3 Gambir, Gambir District, Central Jakarta City, DKI Jakarta, 10110.
As for the information on Google Maps, the description of Mahkamah Keluarga states that it is a government office or "kantor pemerintah" in Bahasa Indonesia, with the English translation "Family Court."
Appeared After the Decision of the Constitutional Court
This incident occurred after the Constitutional Court granted some of the requests of a student from Solo, Almas Tsaqibbirru, regarding the minimum age of a vice presidential candidate on October 16. The decision of the Constitutional Court, led by Anwar Usman alias Uncle Gibran, allows a vice presidential candidate to be under 40 years old as long as they have experience in leading a region.
Response from the Chief Justice
When asked about this matter, Chairman of the Constitutional Court (MK) Anwar Usman admitted that he had previously discussed the controversial term 'Family Court'. Previously, Anwar emphasized that during his 38-year career as a judge, he always held firmly to the trust in the constitution, the Basic Law (UUD), and the Qur'an in making decisions.
"I firmly uphold my oath as a judge, firmly hold the trust in the constitution UUD, and firmly hold the trust in my religion that is stated in the Alquran,"
Anwar's words in the press conference on the formation of the Honorary Council of the Constitutional Court (MKMK), quoted from Merdeka.com, Monday, October 23, 2023.
Therefore, Anwar explained that all decisions made must be based on the opinions or formulations that exist in the Constitutional Court.
"According to the provisions in a verdict, it is the same as the verdict in the Supreme Court (SC), I am a constitutional judge who comes from the SC, the provisions are the same as here (Constitutional Court) 'For justice based on the Almighty God'."
