Dream - The Honorary Council of the Constitutional Court (MKMK) read out the verdict regarding the report of ethical code violations by six judges of the Constitutional Court (MK) regarding the decision on the age requirement for presidential and vice-presidential candidates, on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.

Jimly Asshiddiqie said that the reported judges have been proven to have committed violations of the code of ethics.

"Decided to declare the reported judges collectively proven to have violated the code of ethics. The collective sanction is a verbal reprimand."

It is known that there are 21 reports received by MKMK regarding allegations of ethical violations by constitutional judges. The allegations of ethical violations are related to the material testing decision on the Election Law which decided to change the age requirements for presidential and vice-presidential candidates.
