Rasulullah SAW always worried about his people. Even during the time of death, he always mentioned "my ummah, my ummah, my ummah" which means my people. Especially the people who live in the end times, where they are far from the time of the Prophet SAW and it is feared that they have deviated from the teachings that should be followed.

"\u201cNot only Dajjal is what I fear the most for my ummah,\u201d He repeated it three times. Then Abu Dzar asked, \u201cO Messenger of Allah! What else do you fear the most for your ummah?\u201d He (SAW) answered, \u201cMisguided leaders.\u201d (HR. Ahmad)"

From Syaddad bin Aus radhiyallahu 'anhu, he said, Rasulullah SAW said, "Indeed, I am not afraid for my ummah except for the misleading leaders, and if a sword is placed upon my ummah, it will not be lifted from them until the Day of Judgment." Meaning of Words in Hadith

The word "aimmatan" in the hadith above means plural, which means the people who are followed, whether a leader, caliph, or the like. The singular word of "aimmatan" is imam. The phrase "aimmatan mudhilliin" in the hadith means leaders who are followed by many people but mislead them from the path of Allah's truth. These leaders include officials, bad government leaders, bad religious leaders, and so on.

"Causing Devastating Damage"

Religious leaders who are bad cause a very devastating damage. Especially if they have many followers, this can lead to the destruction of religion. Because bad leaders and religious figures instill the poison of fanaticism towards mostly lay people. This causes any truth to be rejected by their followers because it does not come out of the mouth of the revered leaders. Falsehood and darkness will always seek justification.

"Oppressive leaders or corrupt religious leaders will also bring destruction to faith and humanity. May we all be protected from misleading leaders. Allahumma amin!"
