PHPU MK Hearing: Ganjar-Mahfud Requests Presidential Election to be Repeated Without Prabowo-Gibran, at the Latest by June 26, 2024.

In this session, Todung Mulya Lubis, representing the Legal Team of Ganjar-Mahfud, began his request by reading the petitum first.

The Ganjar-Mahfud Legal Team has requested the Constitutional Court to annul the General Election Commission's Decision Number 360 of 2024, regarding the Determination of the Presidential and Vice Presidential Election Results, Members of the Regional Representative Council (DPR), Regional Legislative Councils (DPRD) of provinces and regencies/cities nationwide in the 2024 Election dated March 20, 2024, specifically related to the 2024 presidential election.

Not only that, they also requested the Constitutional Court to disqualify the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2, Prabowo-Gibran, in the KPU Decision no 1632 of 2023 regarding the determination of Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidate Participants for the 2024 Election dated November 13, 2023, and KPU Decision no 1644 regarding the determination of the number order of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs for the 2024 Election dated November 14, 2023.

"Not only that, the Ganjar-Mahfud team also requested the Constitutional Court (MK) to declare to the General Election Commission (KPU) to conduct a re-voting for the 2024 Presidential Election without including the Prabowo-Gibran pair."

As for the request for a revote, it is stated that it must be done no later than June 26, 2024.

"Ordering the General Election Commission to conduct a Revote for the Presidential and Vice Presidential election in 2024 between H. Anies Rasyid Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar as the candidate pair number 1 and H. Ganjar Pranowo and Prof Mahfud MD as the candidate pair number 3 in all Polling Stations throughout Indonesia no later than June 26, 2024."

As information, the Constitutional Court is scheduled to conduct two preliminary hearing sessions for the judicial review of the 2024 Presidential Election Dispute on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. First, the case of the application submitted by candidate pair number one, Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar, with register number 1/PHPU.PRES-XXII/2024, which was held from 08.00 AM to finish. Then, the application submitted by candidate pair number three, Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud Md, with register number 2/PHPU.PRES-XXII/2024, was held from 01.00 PM to finish.

Next, the stages of the trial examination and the submission of the respondent's answer, the testimony of the relevant parties, and the scheduled witness will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024. Then, the trial examination will be held from April 1-18, 2024, and the stage of pronouncing the verdict or decision will be held on April 22, 2023.
