Dream - Every human being certainly never hopes to be attacked by any disease. Life will feel happier if the body is free from mild or severe illness. Those who are currently suffering from illness certainly feel that their activities are limited. Not to mention if they have to be treated in a hospital.
In the Islamic perspective, illness is a test from Allah SWT to every creature. When struck by illness, a person will show themselves as a sincere servant and have good intentions towards Allah or behave otherwise. Prayers for healing from all diseases are written in several verses of the Quran and exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad.
Apart from praying, a person who is sick must still make medical efforts to seek recovery. While continuing to hope for healing, we surrender ourselves to the decree of Allah SWT after all those efforts have been made.
Healing sometimes comes when hard work has been done. All of that is accompanied by sincere prayers so that the disease can quickly disappear from the body. The following has been summarized by Dream from various sources some readings of prayers to heal the sick.
Prayer for Healing: "O Allah, heal my body. O Allah, heal my hearing. O Allah, heal my sight. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disbelief and poverty. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the torment of the grave. There is no deity except You." (Narrated by Abu Daud)
Pray that the disease is lifted, O Lord of the people. In Your hand is the cure. No one can lift it except You.
Allahumma Isyfi Sa'adan. Allahumma Isyfi Sa'adan. Meaning: My Lord, grant healing to Sa'ad, My Lord, grant healing to Sa'ad, My Lord, grant healing to Sa'ad.
The text in 'Bahasa' translates to English as follows while preserving the HTML tags: "Practices Read by Sick People1.\tBe Patient and Have Good Expectations towards AllahSick people should sincerely accept Allah's decree and be patient with it. Not only that, they should also always and consistently have good expectations that whatever is decreed by Allah is good for them.\u00a0"
2. Do Not Wish for Death Even though the illness worsens, a Muslim is still not allowed to wish for death. We are encouraged to remain patient and sincere in facing it, and not to despair.
3. Positioning Oneself between Fear and Hope Every Muslim should position themselves between the feeling of khauf (fear) and raja' (hope). This means being afraid of Allah's punishment for their sins, and hoping for His mercy regarding any afflictions that befall them.
