Dream - Muslims around the world have finished celebrating Eid al-Adha on the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah. Now, it is time to meet the days of Tashreeq, which take place on the 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhu al-Hijjah. These days of Tashreeq are part of the series of Eid al-Adha or the feast of sacrifice. When entering the days of Tashreeq, Muslims are prohibited from fasting. However, these days of Tashreeq should not be wasted by Muslims. There are many recommended deeds during the days of Tashreeq that can bring abundant rewards to those who perform them.

"The most sacred days in the sight of Allah are indeed the days of sacrifice (Eid al-Adha), followed by the day of al-Qarr (the day after Eid al-Adha)." (HR. Abu Dawud) Here are some recommended acts of Sunnah on the day of Tashreeq as summarized by Dream from various sources.

One of the recommended practices on the day of Tasyrik is to increase remembrance (of Allah). In fact, this has also been explained in the words of Allah SWT through Surah Al-Baqarah verse 203: "Remember Allah during the appointed days. Whoever hastens (to leave Mina) after two days, there is no sin upon him. And whoever delays (his departure), there is no sin upon him, for those who fear Allah. Fear Allah and know that unto Him you will be gathered."

In this Tasyrik day, Muslims should welcome it with joy. Namely by enjoying food and drinks with a happy heart. Therefore, on this Tasyrik day, Muslims are not allowed to fast. As explained in the following hadith: "The Prophet saw ordered me to proclaim on the days of Mina, that it is days of eating and drinking, there is no fasting there. Namely the Tasyrik days." (HR. Ahmad and Al-Bazar)

The next practice carried out during the days of Tasyrik is the sacrifice of animals. So, the sacrifice of animals is not only done on the 10th of Dzulhijjah. But it can be done on the days of Tasyrik, which are the 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dzulhijjah. As explained in the saying of the Prophet Muhammad, "All the days of Tasyrik are the time for sacrifice." (HR. Ahmad in Musnad Ahmad)

Other practices that friends of Dream can do on the Tasyrik day is to increase reading the takbir. So, the recitation of the takbir is not only done on the night of Eid al-Adha and the day of Eid al-Adha. But also done during the Tasyrik day. As explained in the words of Allah SWT through the verse of Surah Al-Baqarah verse 203: "And remember Allah's name on the few counted days."

The last practice on the Day of Tasyrik that should be done by Muslims is to recite the prayer of sapu jagad. Here is the recitation of the prayer of sapu jagad that can be practiced by Dream friends: رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ Artinya: "Ya Tuhan kami, berilah kami kebaikan di dunia dan kebaikan di akhirat, dan lindungilah kami dari azab neraka."

The prohibition is to perform fasting. As explained in the saying of the Prophet Muhammad, "From Ibn 'Umar, both of them said: 'It is not allowed to fast on the days of Tashreeq except for those who did not get a sacrificial animal when performing Hajj.'" Then, it is also explained in another hadith as follows: From Uqbah bin Amir, the Prophet Muhammad said: "The Day of Arafah, the Day of Eid al-Adha, and the days of Tashreeq are our festive days as Muslims, and they are days for eating and drinking."
