Dream - A python snake was found by residents of Graha Harapan Housing, Mustikajaya Village, Mustikajaya District, Bekasi City. The approximately 3-meter long python snake was found along with dozens of fresh eggs. The 10-kilogram snake was found by residents while doing community work in the residential area on Monday, July 22, 2024. The snake and its eggs were found under a pile of tree branches.
"Found under the remnants of chopped trees, and the banana trees have dried up, trash like that," said Eko Uban, a member of the Bekasi City Fire and Rescue, quoted from merdeka.com, Tuesday, July 23, 2024."
Found 30 Eggs
When evacuating the snake, Eko received information from residents that many eggs were also found in the snake's nest. When traced, there were 30 snake eggs found at the location.
"When we arrived, we were told that there were eggs too, so we checked them, secured them, because if they weren't secured, they could hatch danger, so we took the mother and the eggs, there were 30 eggs, one was damaged, and we have already brought them to Mako.""

Eko said, if seen from its condition, the python has just laid eggs. Because the eggs of the snake still look fresh and there are still traces of egg in the snake's stomach. "It hasn't been a week, still fresh, because from its body there are still traces, the mating season is in July-August, well now it's already towards the end so they have started laying eggs," he said.
It reminds the community to always maintain the cleanliness of their homes and environment. It is mentioned that snakes usually nest in piles of garbage or neglected places filled with wild grass.
