Dream - Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos), Tri Rismaharini, said that rice social assistance does not come from the Ministry of Social Affairs. She conveyed this information to answer the judge's question in the dispute hearing for the 2024 Presidential Election at the Constitutional Court (MK), on Friday, April 5, 2024.

The former Mayor of Surabaya explained that the social assistance (bansos) from the Ministry of Social Affairs is in the form of cash transfer. Therefore, there is nothing in the form of goods or nature. "So all transfers to the beneficiaries' accounts are 100 percent, except for special cases, such as someone being sick, someone with disabilities, and those who have not received any assistance yet," said Risma.
"Previously, Risma revealed that social assistance (bansos) related to the El Nino disaster should have been distributed by December 2024. 'In 2023, there is an El Nino BLT that has been approved by the DPR. And this should be completed by December because it is the budget for 2023,' said Risma."
"Meanwhile, in 2024, Risma mentioned that there will no longer be a budget allocation for El Nino impact assistance. 'For the 2024 target volume, it is almost the same, only there is none for El Nino and for acute kidney failure,' she said."
