"Dream - Chief of the Online Gambling Eradication Task Force, Hadi Tjahjanto, revealed that 2.3 million Indonesian citizens are playing online gambling. Out of that number, 80 thousand online gambling players fall into the category of children under 10 years old."

Age 10-20 Years

From the data held by the task force, online gambling games are also widely conducted by people aged 10-20 years with a total of 440 thousand people or 11 percent. "And for ages 21 to 30, it is 13%, 520 thousand," said Hadi.

Hadi also stated that the majority of online gambling players come from the community with an age range between 30 and 50 years old, with a total of 1.64 million people. This number is equivalent to 40 percent of the total online gambling players in Indonesia.

Not only children, teenagers, and adults, but also the elderly (Lansia) have been detected playing online gambling. Satgas data found online gambling players over the age of 50 accounted for 34 percent or around 1.35 million people. As for their economic status, Hadi revealed that on average, people who play online gambling come from the lower middle class. The value of online gambling transactions for this class of society ranges from Rp 10,000 to Rp 100,000.
