Dream - Christian Hansen, a Danish foreigner, repaired a damaged bridge in the Bajau village in Samabahari Village, Kaledupa Subdistrict, Wakatobi Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, receiving praise. In addition to repairing the bridge, Hansen also repaired several damaged houses, such as fixing walls and roofs of the residents' houses.

"Unfortunately, the good action of the foreigner received negative comments from the local village government. The Village Head (Kades) of Samabahari, Gamis, expressed disappointment because Hansen had taken action without coordination. They admitted that the foreigner had done something unknown to the village government."

He explained that the bridge repaired by Hansen is only located in one of the hamlets of Samabahari Village. According to him, Hansen did not repair the entire bridge, but only replaced the planks on the top of the bridge.

"What was replaced yesterday was not the entire bridge, but only a part of it," he said. Gamis claimed that the bridge is still usable and can last for another two years. Furthermore, he added that the bridge is not a public road used by residents, but only serves as a connection to one of the residents' home stays."
