"Dream - A video of the abuse committed by the aide of the West Kutai Regent, FX Yapan, against a Crude Palm Oil (CPO) truck driver went viral on social media. The abuse case is now being handled by the 0912 West Kutai Military Command, after the perpetrator was identified as an Army personnel."

The video lasting 3 minutes and 10 seconds shows a man in a red shirt pulling the truck driver's right hand while opening the door. In the video, FX Yapan can also be seen, wearing a long-sleeved red shirt. He is standing next to the man in the red shirt who is in a rage.

"Mr. Regent, Sir. Mr. Regent," the voice of the citizen can be heard in the video recording. The video recorder shifts its focus to the car used by the man in the red shirt and Regent FX Yapan with the police number KT 1961 YP."

The recording returns to the original position, showing the man in the red shirt kicking the right side of the driver’s stomach again, who is already seated on the ground. The driver appears to be covering his head with his hands. It is suspected that the man in the red shirt kicked the truck driver more than twice.

The Head of Public Relations of the East Kalimantan Police, Kombes Pol Yusuf Sutedjo, confirmed the incident in West Kutai. "Yes, that's correct, that's the aide and Mr. Regent (in the video footage)," said Yusuf, Thursday, December 21, 2023.

"However, from the investigation by the Kutai Barat Police, it was found that Yapan's aide is a member of the military. "That aide of the Regent is a military personnel. So the handling of this matter is handed over to the Kodim. We do not have the authority to investigate the individual. Therefore, the police are coordinating with the Kodim regarding the incident," Yusuf explained."
