Dream - Jessica Kumala Wongso has been in detention at Rutan Pondok Bambu Jakarta for seven years for the premeditated murder case against her own friend, Wayan Mirna Salihin.
The viral documentary film Ice Cold: Murder, Coffee and Jessica Wongso, which is streaming on Netflix, has put it back in the spotlight.
Recently, a photo of Jessica Wongso circulated while she was in her prison cell. The photo was shared by the TikTok account @oscarhasibuan890.
"dream.co.id" (in Bahasa)
The prison cell occupied by Jessica Wongso appears very narrow and can only fit one small bed. The red bedsheet that covers the mattress on the bed looks messy.
"Jesssica Wongso in that photo appears wearing simple attire, a greenish turquoise t-shirt, long jeans, and flip-flops. She also seems to have tied her hair back."
Jessica Wongso can be seen smiling happily even though she is currently suffering behind bars. The condition of her friend, Mirna, is sparking comments from netizens who are now following the discussion about the cyanide coffee case.
"Not a few netizens have voiced their support for Jessica Wongso to receive justice in that case. 'If President Jokowi grants her clemency, it means Jessica has to admit to something she didn't do... she doesn't want to admit to something she didn't do,' wrote @atiksoleman. 'No autopsy means no legal action... come on, netizens, let's help Jessica, the unfortunate girl,' wrote @Ajessaa_1."
