Polda Jabar Uncover Corruption of Sukabumi's Covid-19 Incentives for Health Workers Amounting to IDR 5.4 Billion
In the fiscal years 2020 and 2021, the West Java Regional Police (Polda Jabar) successfully uncovered corruption cases related to incentive funds for healthcare workers (Nakes) who were assigned to handle Covid-19 at Palabuhanratu Regional General Hospital, Sukabumi Regency.

In this incident, a suspect known by the initials HC was successfully identified by the police. The individual is a government employee with a work contract, who previously served as the head of the Covid-19 department at the Palabuhanratu Regional General Hospital. The handling of this case is based on a police report from the West Java Regional Police with the number: LPA/361/VI/2022/SPKT.
The suspect used a method by creating false data when applying for incentive funds for healthcare workers handling Covid-19.
After that, he made a false accountability report as well.
"The incident was carried out by the suspect HC by submitting the names of healthcare workers who did not handle Covid-19 patients as intermediaries, in order to obtain incentive money," he explained.
The money received by healthcare workers is collected, and a portion of that amount is used for cash expenditures in the Covid-19 room.
"Distributed to healthcare and non-healthcare personnel at the UPTD RSUD Palabuhanratu, Sukabumi Regency, as well as personal interests, thus not in accordance with the regulations," he added."
As a result of his actions, HC faces the threat of life imprisonment or a minimum of four years and a maximum of 20 years, as well as a fine ranging from Rp200 million to Rp1 billion.
