Dream - Korean snacks are always tempting, especially the fried ones. Nowadays, many restaurants provide Korean snacks, but the taste is not always consistent.

Dream friends can make it themselves if they want to make the taste according to their preference. One of the Korean snacks that is easy to make at home is gimmari.

Gimmari is usually served with tteokbokki sauce and skewered with satay sticks. Here's the gimmari recipe from Culinary Content Creator, the owner of Instagram account @michelealex.

Ingredients

Filling:

  • 100 grams of Korean sweet potato noodles or glass noodles
  • 4-5 sheets of nori
  • 1/4 onion
  • 1 small carrot
  • 2 stalks of green onion
  • 1/3 tsp salt
  • 1/3 tsp powdered broth
  • 1/3 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • Some sesame oil

Batter:

  • 90 grams of medium protein flour
  • 40 grams of cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 tsp white pepper
  • 1/3 tsp baking powder
  • Sufficient amount of water

How to make gimmari

1. Chop the onion, cut the carrot into small cubes, and thinly slice the green onion.

2. Divide the nori into two long pieces and soak the glass noodles.

3. Stir-fry the onion, carrot, and white part of the green onion using sesame oil. Turn off the heat when the carrot starts to soften.

4. Add the green part of the green onion and stir-fry again.

5. Cut the glass noodles into smaller pieces.

6. Pour in the vegetables, salt, powdered broth, white pepper, and sugar to mix well with the glass noodles.

7. After making the filling, mix all the ingredients to make the flour that will be coated on the gimmari. Stir well. Make sure the texture of the flour is not too thick.

8. Place the filling on the rough side of the nori. Do not pour in more filling than one-third of the width of the nori. Roll up the nori.

9. Apply oil to the knife and cut the nori lengthwise.

10. Dip the rolled nori into the flour, then fry it over medium heat.

11. Remove the nori and put it back into the flour, then fry until golden brown for a crispier texture.

12. Serve gimmari with tteokbokki sauce for a more delicious taste.
