"Dream - Attending formal events often requires extra attention to etiquette, including when eating bananas. Although bananas are a simple and delicious fruit, the way you enjoy them must follow table manners, especially when attending a fine dining event. If you usually eat bananas directly with your hands, then in formal settings, you should use a knife and fork. Can you imagine how? Ellen Tendean, an etiquette expert, shares the method. Don't be confused anymore when eating bananas at formal dining events."
"1. Hold the Spoon and Fork Correctly"
"When the banana is served with a knife and fork on a plate, make sure Dream Friends hold these utensils correctly. The knife is used for cutting, while the fork is used for picking up pieces of banana."
"2. Cut the End of the Banana"
"Start by cutting both ends of the banana using a knife and fork. This helps to facilitate the next process and also gives a neat impression.
"First, cut both ends of the banana using a knife and fork. Then place the cut ends on the top side of the plate," said Ellen."
"3. Banana Peel Scrape"
"Carefully, make a lengthwise slit on one side of the banana peel using a knife. This slit is intended to make it easier for Dream friends to peel the banana skin without damaging the fruit inside. "After that, make a lengthwise slit on the banana peel carefully on one side. Then, slowly peel the banana skin and fold it forward away from us," added Ellen."
"4. Cut the Banana and Eat"
The bottom part of the banana peel serves as a mat that helps keep the plate clean and makes the eating process easier. Now, cut the banana into small pieces with a knife and fork. Make sure the banana pieces are not too big so they are easy to eat. Use a fork to pick up the banana pieces and enjoy slowly. Try practicing at home, Dream Friends.
