Dream - All Provincial Governments (Pemprov) in Indonesia have determined and announced the increase of the provincial minimum wage (UMP) for 2024. The determination of the new salary amount to be received by workers refers to the instruction of the Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah.

The Government sets the UMP 2024 according to the formulation in Government Regulation (PP) 51 of 2023. As for the adjustment formula or minimum wage increase, it uses three main variables, namely Inflation, economic growth, and a specific index symbolized by alpha.

According to Ida, the minimum wage policy at the provincial and district/city level applies to workers with less than 1 year of service. With this provision, the minimum wage policy that eligible for workers with more than 1 year of service or more must implement the Productivity or Performance-based Wage Policy using the Wage Structure Scale (SUSU) instrument. The results of the determination of the Minimum Wage (UMP) in several provinces that have been decided are known to have an average increase below 5 percent.
