Dream - Director General of Hajj and Umrah Organizing Ministry of Religion, Hilman Latief, will send a Letter of Disappointment and Strong Protest to Garuda Indonesia following the delay of Hajj flights for up to 17 hours.
The delay occurred for the group of pilgrims (kloter) SOC-43. The Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) asked Garuda Indonesia to provide accommodation because the stay of SOC-43 pilgrims in the hajj dormitory has expired, while the next kloter must enter the hajj dormitory.
"If not transferred, then we request compensation for accommodation costs per pilgrim as a result of not being provided by Garuda Indonesia."

The delay of SOC-43 is considered as a domino effect from the previous departure of the pilgrim flight. It is known that previously, SOC-41 was delayed due to engine damage of Garuda Indonesia aircraft.
The departure delay lasted quite a long time, up to four hours. Then the SOC-42 departure was also delayed for seven hours.
"This delay triggers a domino effect. Because SOC-41 flies with an aircraft that should depart SOC-42, the departure of SOC-42 is also delayed, even up to seven hours,""
