Dream - The community who wishes to go on a pilgrimage is now increasingly facilitated in terms of access to savings. Now, Muslims in remote areas can register for regular Hajj quotas at more than 4,000 post office networks throughout Indonesia. This convenience can be realized after a collaboration between PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk and PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) regarding the registration of Hajj quotas.
The signing of this cooperation agreement was carried out as part of the series of activities of the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) Hajj Expo 2023 on Thursday, December 14, 2023 in Jakarta.
The signing was carried out by SEVP Retail Banking Bank Muamalat, Dedy Suryadi Dharmawan, and SVP Consumer Business Pos Indonesia, Zuhed Nur. This event was also witnessed by BPKH Executive Board Member, Harry Alexander, and Bank Muamalat President Director, Indra Falatehan.
Indra said, Bank Muamalat currently holds 15 percent of the national market share out of a total of 5.3 million regular hajj pilgrims in Indonesia.
This collaboration is a form of commitment from Bank Muamalat and Pos Indonesia to provide the best service for prospective Hajj pilgrims who will perform their worship in the holy land.
"Indra said."
In the scope of this cooperation, Pos Indonesia will refer prospective hajj pilgrims to make an initial deposit by opening a Hajj Savings Account (RTJH) and registering their hajj portion at Bank Muamalat.
As information, Bank Muamalat customers can view the current Hajj Deposit Value through the Hajj Bank menu in Muamalat DIN. Because Bank Muamalat has collaborated with BPKH in terms of transparency of information related to the value of the deposited Hajj funds.
As of November 15 and 16, 2021, BPKH officially became the Controlling Shareholder (PSP) of Bank Muamalat after receiving a share grant from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and SEDCO Group. Thus, BPKH's total ownership of shares in Bank Muamalat becomes 82.66%. In addition to BPKH, Bank Muamalat shares are also owned by IsDB at 2.04% and other shareholders with a portion of 15.30%.
