Dream - PT Bank Central Asia (BCA) will start closing inactive customer accounts starting tomorrow, Wednesday, November 1, 2023. Account closure will be applied to customers whose accounts have been inactive for 12 consecutive months, have a balance of Rp0, and have no transactions.

The latest provisions issued by the largest private bank in Indonesia are six months faster than the old rules. Previously, BCA would only automatically close an account if it remained inactive for 18 consecutive months with a balance of Rp0 and no recorded transactions.

The automatic closure provisions will apply to the following types of BCA accounts: - Tahapan - Tahapan Gold - Tahapan Xpresi - Tapres - TabunganKu - BCA Dollar - Giro

BCA accounts are considered inactive when there is no banking activity, both debit and credit transactions. Customers can still carry out activities exceeding the daily transaction limit through the bank teller. However, the transaction process needs to go through an override process by the Bank Supervisor. Accounts that are already inactive cannot receive fund transfers from any bank account. For customers who have already sent money, transfer transactions to closed accounts will be automatically canceled. The funds will then be returned to the source account.
