The text translates to: "This is stated in Government Regulation Number 28 of 2024 concerning the Implementation Regulation of Law Number 17 of 2023. Article 194 explains that the central government may impose excise taxes on processed food."

"Article 194 paragraph 1 also states that the Central Government may determine the maximum limits for sugar, salt, and fat content in processed food, including ready-to-eat processed food. This is done in the context of controlling the consumption of sugar, salt, and fat."

The determination of the maximum limits for sugar, salt, and fat content as referred to in paragraph (1) is carried out by considering: a. risk assessment; and\/or b. international standards.
