Dream - TikTok has become the first non-mobile game application to generate US$10 billion from global consumer spending. In fact, this platform is expected to become the highest-grossing application ever. According to CNN, data.ai application intelligence provider reported that four other applications that have reached this milestone are games. Among them are Candy Crush Saga from Activision Blizzard, Honor of Kings from Tencent, Monster Strike from Mixi, and Clash of Clans from Supercell.

Purchasing "coins" within the TikTok application, which can be used to buy gifts for influencers on the platform. These gifts provide rewards to creators for their content and can be cashed out, with TikTok retaining 50% of the payment.

According to data.ai, the most popular in-app purchase on TikTok this year is the 1,321 coin package priced at US$19.99, which is said to contribute about a quarter of the in-app revenue. In addition to in-app purchases, this highly popular short video app also has other sources of income such as advertisements and e-commerce.

The provider of the data also stated that the dating app Tinder and the video platform YouTube are the next closest applications to achieve $10 billion, but they are trailing behind TikTok by a difference of $2 to $3 billion in 2023.
