As for the zakat funds that are handed over to BAZNAS, they are then distributed through an economic empowerment program for eligible micro entrepreneurs in the form of capital assistance for business development for 30 micro-entrepreneurs in East Jakarta region.

Ina explained that BCA Syariah customers can utilize the autodebit feature available in savings products such as savings accounts, checking accounts, and deposits. With this feature, the customer's monthly returns in the savings products will be automatically debited by 2.5%, so customers don't need to worry about forgetting to pay zakat.

"The second convenience is through e-channel BCA Syariah Mobile and Klik BCA Syariah, for the convenience of transferring zakat anytime and anywhere," said Ina. Currently, there are 11 registered Lembaga Amil Zakat (LAZ) accounts in the transfer menu of BCA Syariah Mobile for transferring Zakat, Infak, and Sedekah (ZIS).
