During the past few years, the APKASI National Conference has always been held together with the APKASI Otonomi Expo. This year, the APKASI National Conference is also conducted together with the APKASI Procurement Network. All three events will take place on July 10-12, 2024. In front of all the regents of Indonesia and invited guests, the president named Joko Widodo delivered a speech stating that the country has faced numerous challenges during the past five years.

The challenges include health issues such as the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as geopolitics and wars that cause fluctuations in oil and food prices, wars in Ukraine and Palestine. Additionally, there are environmental issues such as heatwaves and El Nino, which are becoming increasingly apparent. According to him, these conditions have led to various crises, including economic, health, financial, food, and humanitarian crises.

"But we should be grateful that our country is able to withstand the obstacles, challenges that exist. And our economy is still growing at 5.11% in the first quarter of 2024,"

Jokowi expressed, greeted by applause from the audience.

According to the Head of State, it is currently very difficult for the country to achieve economic growth above 5%. He added that Indonesia is also capable of controlling inflation up to 2.5 percent in June 2024.

Jokowi then expressed his gratitude to all regents of Indonesia for their contributions. "This is thanks to all of you, who always have meetings with the Minister of Home Affairs every Monday, regularly every week, but there are results," said Jokowi.

Jokowi also appreciates that during these difficult times, Indonesia's World Competitiveness Ranking in 2024 has risen to 27. "This is the highest increase among other countries," expressed Jokowi.

"In the same occasion, the Chairman of APKASI, Sutan Riska Tuanku Kerajaan, who serves as the Regent of Dharmasraya, expressed gratitude for the presence of Jokowi and the ministers. He welcomed Jokowi with various pantun (traditional Malay poems) in his speech."

Sutan said that in addition to the national coordination meeting (rakernas) attended by all regents in Indonesia as members of APKASI, the APKASI Otonomi Expo 2024 will also be attended by district governments, provincial governments, ministries, national and multinational private companies. As for the APKASI Procurement Network, it is attended by entrepreneurs who provide goods and services, as well as government agencies whose products are listed in the LKPP catalog.

"The purpose of holding the APKASI National Conference in 2024, besides evaluating the organization's work programs and determining the direction of APKASI's work program policies in 2025, will also include preparing strategic recommendations to the government and the Indonesian Parliament (DPR RI) regarding the synchronization of central and regional government policies."
