This reserve discovery has become an important part of the government's program in the national energy sector to achieve a gas production target of 12 billion standard cubic feet per day (BSCFD) and oil production of 1 million barrels per day by 2030. During the period from January to the end of November 2023, Pertamina EP contributed to the national crude oil production of 69,624 BOPD, and natural gas of 838.6 MMSCFD.

"Meanwhile, the discovery of new oil and gas resources in Indramayu through the Production Flow Test (Drill Stem Test/DST) yielded an oil flow rate of 30 BOPD (barrels of oil per day/barel minyak per hari), and gas reached 2.08 MMSCFD (Million Standard Cubic Feet per Day of gas/standar juta kaki per kubik), and condensate equivalent to 15.05 BCPD."

The well was spudded on September 4, 2023, with the main objective in the conglomeratic sandstone reservoir of the Jatibarang Formation and the limestone reservoir of the Upper Cibulakan Formation, which are proven plays or concepts that produce hydrocarbons in the Jatibarang and Akasia Prima Fields, Jatibarang Sub-Basin. This drilling reached a final depth of 2520 mMD.
