Dream - Many acts of charity that can increase sustenance need to be practiced as an effort to seek ease in earning a living. Allah SWT has indeed guaranteed sustenance for every creation of His. However, we must actively seek the sustenance promised by Allah SWT.

Many practices to increase sustenance need to be done regularly. Explained in the book Ta'limul Muta'allim by Azzarnuji, there are four practices that can be done to enhance sustenance.

Regularly Performing Tahajud Prayer

The first practice to increase sustenance is to regularly perform tahajud prayers. Those who diligently perform tahajud prayers will be elevated in their status by Allah SWT. As long as this practice is consistently carried out.

Allah SWT says:
وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَتَهَجَّدْ بِهِ نَافِلَةً لَّكَ عَسَىٰ أَن يَبْعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامًا مَّحْمُودًا Translation: And during the night, pray Tahajjud as an additional prayer for you; it is expected that your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station.

"\u201cAnd in some parts of the night, perform the Tahajjud prayer as an additional act of worship for yourself; hopefully your Lord will elevate you to a noble position.\u201d"

Rajin Menunaikan Sholat Dhuha Translation: Diligently Performing the Dhuha Prayer

Sholat Dhuha is a weapon that needs to be practiced to smooth the sustenance. Sholat Dhuha is believed to bring unexpected sustenance.

From Nu'aim bin Hammar Al-Ghathafaniy, he heard the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) saying
قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ لَا تَعْجَزْ عَنْ أَرْبَعِ رَكَعَاتٍ مِنْ أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ أَكْفَكَ آخَرَهُ

Meaning: "It means: "Allah SWT said: O son of Adam, do not abandon four units of prayer in the early morning (during Dhuha time). It will suffice you in the afternoon." (HR. Ahmad)"

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

"In the human body, there are three hundred and sixty joints, all of which must be given in charity." They (the companions) asked, "Who is able to do that, O Prophet of Allah?" He replied, "You clean the phlegm in the mosque, that is charity. You remove something that hinders from the path, that is charity. So if you do not find (charity) as much as that, then two units of Dhuha prayer are sufficient for you." (Narrated by Abu Dawud)
