Dream - South Korea (Korea Selatan or Korsel) is loosening visa requirements for foreign researchers in an effort to attract more talent in the field of science. The Ministry of Justice in South Korea is now relaxing requirements for D-2-5, a type of visa issued for researchers at universities.

According to Times Korea, previously the D-2-5 visa was only issued to researchers with postgraduate degrees or students invited by one of several schools specializing in the field of science, such as KAIST or UNIST.

The Ministry stated that there will be more schools allowed to invite undergraduate students from abroad, including those listed in the top 200 of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings or the top 500 of the QS World University Rankings.

With the existence of the policy change, foreign researchers without a bachelor's degree will be allowed to study at several schools, including Seoul National University, Yonsei University, Sungkyunkwan University, and Korea University.
