Dream - Viral on social media about a driver who parked his car for 7 hours in the VIP parking lot of Tugu Yogyakarta Station. The car owner claimed to have to pay up to Rp350,000.
The following rate was uploaded by user X named Novian Husada on his personal account @viandhusodo. Novian admitted to parking his vehicle on February 27, 2024.
The recorded marking duration is 7 hours, starting from 12.30 to 18.30 WIB. However, he was surprised when he had to pay Rp350,000.
"Please provide information, lurd, about the tariff for VIP parking at Yogyakarta Station? A guy on duty said it's 50,000 IDR for the first three hours and 25,000 IDR per hour thereafter. This amounts to 350,000 IDR for parking for seven hours. Does anyone know about this? If it's true, it's not a problem, just a little surprising. Please enlighten me @KAI121 @merapi_uncover."

Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) then responded to the post. KAI stated that the parking area is not managed by Daop 6 Yogyakarta, but by a partner or private company.
"Good morning. We apologize for the inconvenience, Kak. After coordinating with Railmin, the parking service is not managed by KAI Services (RMU), but by a partner who collaborates."

KAI explained that the tariff for renting the VIP parking is Rp50 thousand per hour. So, it totals to Rp350 thousand.
"Based on the information received by Railmin, the rental rate for the VIP parking is 50 thousand per hour. The management staff from the partner has also informed about the applicable rate before you park. Once again, Railmin apologizes for the inconvenience you have experienced. Railmin hopes that this will not reduce your enthusiasm in using the train service," added KAI.
