Dream - Bank Indonesia (BI) makes it easier for the community who want to exchange new money during this year's Eid. One of them is by opening Go Show money exchange services at several points along the homecoming route.
The exchange at points on the homecoming route will begin on April 1, 2024, until April 5, 2024. As for the locations, they are located at rest areas on toll roads, ports, airports, and train stations.
"With this program, Indonesian society who have not exchanged their cash denominations need not worry."
"One of our programs is the homecoming exchange service during Eid, where we open exchange services at points along the community's homecoming routes. So, if in Jakarta, it is located at kilometer 57."
The text in 'Bahasa' translates to: "words from the Head of the Department of Money Management at BI, Marlison Hakim quoted from Merdeka.com, Thursday, March 28, 2024."
"Later, friends from BI Cirebon, BI Semarang, BI Tegal, until Surabaya will open their toll points," he continued.
Requirements Must Bring ID Card.
"Marlison reminds the public that those who want to exchange money through the service must bring identification such as an identity card (KTP). 'What is needed for Go Show is still the identity of KTP,' he added."
In addition, BI also provides options for exchanging Rupiah currency through Mobile Cash Services in strategic locations such as traditional and modern markets, and River Cash Services in several regions.
Assistant Governor of the Communication Department of Bank Indonesia, Erwin Haryono, stated that the maximum amount for money exchange is Rp4 million. "This year, the strengthening of the program includes an increase in the maximum amount of exchange packages to Rp4 million," said Erwin as quoted from Liputan6.com, Friday, March 15, 2024. Specifically for the DKI Jakarta region, Bank Indonesia together with the banking sector will provide Integrated Exchange Services on March 28-31, 2024 at Istora Senayan.
In the area, similar events will be held, among others, at the stadium and city square. For Rupiah currency exchange services, it can be done through mobile cashier services (except for the Susur Sungai mobile cashier), integrated exchange services, and BI cares for homecoming. The community is expected to pre-order currency exchange through the PINTAR Application (Rupiah Exchange and Withdrawal): https:\/\/pintar.bi.go.id.
