Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims Unable to See the Kaaba in Mecca, Previous Profession is Said to be the Cause

In order to repent, the hajj pilgrim who worked as a loan shark went on a pilgrimage. However, when not in Mecca, the hajj pilgrim cannot see the Kaaba when performing the tawaf.

"A loan shark who repented and went on a pilgrimage, after arriving in Mecca, he couldn't see the Kaaba. He came all the way from Indonesia, but he couldn't see the Kaaba, he just went around but couldn't see it," said Alman.

In addition to the story of the loan shark, Alman recounted the story of a hajj pilgrim who was found to have an amulet while in the Holy Land.

The hajj pilgrim, whose name is unknown, went to the Holy Land for the first time. Unlike others who cry with emotion when in Mecca, this hajj pilgrim instead feels empty.

Furthermore, the pilgrim feels lazy to pray at the Masjid al-Haram even though the distance from the hotel is very close. It turns out that the man forgot to keep the amulet in his wallet.

"He was lazy to go to the Masjid al-Haram, even though the distance from his hotel was close, it turns out that he kept the amulet in his wallet," said Alman.

"When he threw away the amulet, only then did he cry uncontrollably, and realized that he was in the Holy Land of Mecca," he added.

Alman also reminded that many incidents beyond reason can happen when in the Holy Land. He advised hajj pilgrims to guard their tongues and replace them with remembrance of Allah.

Backpacker hajj is also known as independent hajj. In terms of cost, independent hajj is much cheaper compared to conventional or regular methods.

For regular hajj, the total cost can reach more than 40 million rupiahs. Meanwhile, if you choose to go on a backpacker hajj, it only costs around 25 million rupiahs.

The total cost of backpacker hajj includes round-trip tickets, hajj visa fees, vaccinations, payment to hajj authorities in Jeddah, accommodation and transportation for 9 days in Saudi Arabia, as well as the cost of ihram clothing.

However, for backpacker hajj, the Saudi Arabian government prohibits Saudi Arabian and foreign citizens from going on hajj without tasreh or official permission from the Saudi Arabian government.
