Guide Grandma to Say the Shahada Before She Dies, Convert Dreams of Deceased Joining Congregational Prayer

Dream - A man from the United States shared his spiritual experience of becoming a convert. Brandon, the man, claimed to have embraced Islam since 2014 and is now actively spreading the faith in his community.

Prior to converting, Brandon often compared the contents of the Quran with the books of his previous religion. The more he studied the Quran, the more guidance he received and the more he believed in Islam as the true religion.

The guidance finally came when Brandon decided to recite the two testimonies of faith to perfect his faith. Since becoming a Muslim in 2014, Brandon has been actively spreading Islam to everyone.

One of the environments he aimed to spread the faith in was his family. Brandon began introducing Islamic teachings to his grandmother who was bedridden in the hospital at that time.

He had to secretly spread the faith because he was afraid his family would force his grandmother to enter Christianity again.

Initially, Brandon recited verses from the Quran to his grandmother. Then, he translated them into English. His preaching activities were interspersed with telling the story of the life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Not long after, Brandon's 93-year-old grandmother finally acknowledged the truth of Islam and agreed to convert.

“I asked if she wanted to take the first step to guarantee entry into heaven and become a follower of Prophet Muhammad by reciting the Shahada with me,” he said, as quoted from Youtube Ayatuna Ambassador

However, one thing that made Brandon uneasy was that his grandmother passed away before he could teach her how to pray.

At that time, his grandmother's condition did not allow her to worship as she was still weak in the hospital. In addition, his family continued to come to see her condition.

Exactly two weeks after his grandmother's passing, he dreamed that she came to him to be taught how to pray.

“Subhanallah, two weeks after she passed away. I dreamed that I was entering the mosque just in time for prayer and the call to prayer. I walked into the row, but I glimpsed someone at the back of the room. She had white hair and was sitting on a chair, I recognized her. What is grandma doing here? She answered, Brandon, you haven't taught me how to pray,” he said.

In his dream, he taught his grandmother how to pray. Now he can be at peace because he believes that Allah has forgiven his grandmother's sins and accepted her as a Muslim.
