Minister Basuki Persuades Wife While Performing with Padi Reborn: Beib, I Love You

Dream - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimoeljono is known as a multi-talented figure. Not only is he skilled in handling national infrastructure development, he also loves music. 

His actions are often funny and attract attention and are caught on camera. One of them is when he acts romantically towards his wife. 

The moment was during the Independence Festival organized by the Ministry of PUPR to celebrate the 78th Indonesian Independence Day some time ago.

"Friends, are you curious about how romantic Pak Bas is with his wife? Let's watch Pak Bas' action in the following video!," wrote the Instagram account @kemenpupr, quoted on Thursday, August 24, 2023.

Pak Bas had the opportunity to become a drummer in the performance of Padi Reborn as a guest star. As is known, Pak Bas also went viral when he became a drummer in the band Kotak's performance.

In the video clip, Pak Bas and Padi Reborn performed the romantic hit song "Begitu Indah".

Unexpectedly, Pak Bas admitted to being nervous because it was a special performance for his beloved wife.

"I am nervous about participating in this collaboration. This is special for my beloved wife. Beib I Love You," said Pak Bas on stage, which was also witnessed by his wife.

That expression made the audience, who were employees of the Ministry of PUPR, excited with cheers.

Together with Padi Reborn, Pak Bas performed with his distinctive hat and a casual red shirt, just like a real band member.

According to the Ministry of PUPR website, the Independence Festival was held with the theme "Continuing to Advance for Indonesia's Progress" with the main event on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.

Famous artists also enlivened this Independence Festival. Starting from comedian Mongol Stres who entertained through stand-up comedy, including a performance by the band Padi Reborn in the peak of the event.

During the Independence Festival, a people's culinary party was also held around the Park of the Ministry of PUPR. In addition, there were social activities such as blood donation and competitions in various sports and arts branches.

This series of activities involved all employees of the Ministry of PUPR, Dharma Wanita/paguyuban, the Association of Retired Ministry of Public Works (IPPU), and the working partners of the Ministry of PUPR.
