Trigger for MMA Athlete Rudy Golden Boy Brawling with 2 Young Men in Minimarket, Claims Helmet Was Damaged

Dream - Mixed martial arts athlete, or famously known as MMA, Rudy Golden Boy, recounts the chronology of a brawl he experienced in a minimarket in Tangerang, Banten. In the incident that took place on Sunday, August 6, 2023, Rudy faced two male visitors to the minimarket. 

From initial information and videos circulating on social media, the incident started when two young men cut in line while trying to pay for their groceries at the minimarket cashier. Not accepting the queue being cut, a fight broke out.

After the video went viral, Rudy explained the origin of the commotion that ended in a brawl through his Instagram account @rudygoldenboy.

Starting his explanation, Rudy emphasized that the fight was not triggered by him. He regrets if there are parties who perceive it that way without watching the full video. 

According to Rudy, the fight happened because of the unethical behavior of the two men. 

He explained that at that time, he had just returned from a fight event at Garuda and was in a hurry. Rudy took the time to shop for diapers and some snacks at the minimarket. 

"Suddenly these guys just cut in line. And the cashier served them," he wrote.

Not accepting such behavior, Rudy decided to confront the two visitors. When outside the minimarket, Rudy claimed that one of the visitors kicked him. 

Furthermore, according to Rudy's confession, the two men also damaged his helmet, causing the glass to break, and then fled. 

In another post, Rudy also showed a conversation allegedly with the two young men. In the post, the two visitors apologized and admitted their mistake of cutting in line at the minimarket cashier.

However, they were not happy about being punched by the former MMA athlete.

In the end of the conversation, Rudy and the two men decided to resolve the issue among themselves.

As seen in the viral video on social media below. There was a commotion in a minimarket in Tangerang, Banten, due to customers cutting in line.

The commotion involved MMA athlete Rudy Golden Boy. The incident took place on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at a minimarket in Serpong.

"Once again, a former MMA athlete attacked two young men who cut in line at a supermarket. Sunday, 6/08/2023 (evening). The incident took place at Indomaret near Kong Djie Aniva Junction, Serpong, Tangerang," wrote the Instagram account @kabarbintaro.

In the video, a man in a black shirt, who is a former MMA athlete, is seen not accepting it when his turn is cut in line at the cashier.

Finally, a fight broke out in the supermarket. It is suspected that the man who cut in line was a local resident and possibly acquainted with the cashier, so he was prioritized.

Eventually, the former MMA athlete did not accept it and a fight broke out. Another man wearing a red jacket tried to fight back but was rendered helpless. After a few minutes, the two young men left.

The video went viral and received various responses from netizens.

"Just a queue problem and it's already like this, moreover if you want it to be fair, it's the Indomaret staff who should be hit because they allowed them to pay first. 😂," wrote @srvxs.

"Oh, don't let martial arts athletes be like this... They should be able to control themselves... A wrong punch can be fatal," wrote @ahmad_chaidir.
