Unique Love Story of TNI Soldier Finds a Match in Aceh Girl: Disguise Not to Spy on Enemies, But to Win the Heart of Lover

Usually, when looking for a partner, TNI members would proudly showcase their uniforms when first getting to know someone.

This is done to make a deep impression on potential partners, especially their future in-laws.

However, this particular TNI member has a trick to find the right partner, someone who doesn't just focus on their uniform and rank.

Through the TikTok account @dykasandanris13318, a TNI soldier named Sandy Triawan shared the story of how he found his soulmate.

To the woman he approached, Sandy didn't admit that he was a TNI soldier. Instead, he claimed to be a migrant without a stable job.

"Approaching a girl through a simple greeting ❌ Approaching a girl through disguise ✔," Sandy wrote in his video.

In his video, Sandy shared photos of himself disguised as a civilian. He intentionally didn't show his military uniform.

Claiming to be a migrant, Sandy sent photos of himself in a warehouse, pretending to work somewhere.

"Disguised as a jobless migrant. VC in the warehouse, so my disguise would be successful," Sandy said.

Not only that, every time he sent a post of picture (pap), Sandy never wore his uniform.

"I always took pap photos without the uniform. I never wore the uniform during video calls," he added.

After some time, Sandy and the woman, later known as Riska Rangkuti, got to know each other and felt comfortable with one another.

Sandy was happy to finally find a woman who genuinely loved him, regardless of his unstable job.

"I started to feel comfortable and made jokes to see her smile. Finally, I found a sincere woman," he said.

They then entered a long-distance relationship before Sandy expressed his intention to propose to Riska.

Sandy then introduced Riska, who turned out to be a graduate of an Islamic boarding school, to his family. As the proposal day approached, Sandy finally confessed to Riska that he was actually a TNI soldier.

Sandy did this because he knew his future wife disliked lies. Besides, he couldn't continue lying to Riska.

"She's from a religious school background, and she hates lies the most. So, I decided to be honest and reveal my true identity, but she got upset and didn't want to video call anymore," he recalled.

However, after being persuaded and apologizing while giving his reasons, Riska finally agreed to a video call. Sandy was happy that Riska smiled again.

"After I persuaded her and apologized, explaining the reasons behind it, she finally agreed to a video call, although she still had a sulky face.

"Finally, she started smiling again, but she felt insecure because of her acne and was afraid of being ghosted," he explained.

To show his seriousness in the relationship, Sandy visited Riska's parents in Dusun Damai, Desa Dalam, Kecamatan Karang Baru, Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang, Aceh Province.

When they first met after a long-distance relationship through social media, both Sandy and Riska felt awkward.

Sandy came to Riska's house accompanied by his younger sister, who also lived in Aceh. Sandy's sister's presence was requested by Riska and her parents.

"Masha Allah, finally seeing each other in person made me so nervous. As she instructed, I had to bring my younger sister when visiting her house, so I brought my sister from Stabat, Aceh Tamiang.

"We maintained a distance because we're not mahram. This is the first time I felt so nervous being close to a woman. During our second meeting, I told her parents that I'm serious, and I immediately gave two mayam (traditional Acehnese dish) to assure her that I'm serious," Sandy concluded.

After the second meeting in 2022 and the third meeting in March 2023, Sandy and Riska decided to get married on June 8, 2023.
