That's what happened to a man from Dazhou, China. The man went viral on social media after a video of him begging to reconcile with his ex-girlfriend spread widely on Weibo and was watched more than 150 million times.

The man, whose identity is unknown, was seen kneeling in front of the entrance of a building while holding a large bouquet of roses. It is known that the building is where his ex-girlfriend works.

As reported by South China Morning Post, the man knelt from 1:00 PM until the next day, 10:00 AM.

The man remained kneeling for 21 hours even though it was raining heavily at that time.

He made this effort to regain the love of his ex-girlfriend. He hoped that by doing this dramatic act, the heart of the woman he loved would melt and she would finally accept him back.

Unfortunately, the woman he hoped for never appeared. His actions instead attracted the attention of the public, who then gathered around him.

They asked the man to stop because it would only torture himself and cause a commotion. Moreover, his efforts were in vain.

"You all try to talk to him and ask him to leave. There's no need to keep kneeling like that. His girlfriend doesn't want to show up but you're still here, losing face," said one of the residents.

The man only left after 21 hours and his body was soaked because of the rain. According to residents, it is possible because he couldn't withstand the cold.

The residents who were worried about his condition called the police to persuade him to stop his actions. However, even the police were unable to persuade him.
