Dream - The color of a house usually reflects the character of its inhabitants. However, there are also those who choose colors to stand out from the neighboring buildings so that they can be easily found. In addition to offering beauty, a place of residence must also be kept clean and tidy. Just as Allah SWT commands us to maintain cleanliness, including the cleanliness of the house. Because Allah SWT greatly appreciates beauty. Whatever the considerations, the choice of colors should be carefully thought out. For Muslims, there are several house paint colors that are associated with their religious beliefs.

The good color of house paint according to Islam is one of them is white. In a narration it is mentioned that the Prophet Muhammad liked the color white. "I have never seen the Prophet Muhammad wearing a plain white robe without any decorations, and he never chose between two things except the whitest among them." (HR. Ahmad) Through the above hadith, it shows that the Prophet Muhammad often wore white clothing. When there are two choices, he will choose the whiter one.

Green is usually associated with nature, consisting of various plants. The color green also symbolizes life, fertility, and the beauty of nature as a gift from Allah SWT. In Islam, the color green signifies tranquility and freshness, thus providing a peaceful atmosphere. Another reason is that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) liked the color green. This is marked by his habit of often wearing a green robe.

Other colors that can be chosen to paint the house are black. This color symbolizes simplicity, honor, and glory. Using black color will be considered as a sign of a simple life and individual honor. As explained in a hadith: "I have seen Prophet Muhammad wearing a black turban which he wore on the day of celebration."

Blue usually signifies the sea or the sky. Both of which are part of Allah SWT's creation as part of the vast universe. Considering that the color blue is often considered to provide a calming atmosphere, it is deemed a good color according to Islam to be used as house paint.

The other color is red. This bright color is mentioned in the Quran in several contexts, especially regarding the beauty and various creations of Allah SWT. However, the color red is not specifically mentioned in the Quran as a preferred color or having a special spiritual meaning. One example is in Surah Ar-Rahman verses 68 to 72, which mention various types of fruits and plants, including the red pomegranate.

"Which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? Between them are two gardens (planted with trees), which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? In both of them are two flowing springs. Between them are two fruits, pomegranates. Which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?" (QS Ar-Rahman: 68-72)

Other good colors to paint a house according to Islam are cream colors. Soft and neutral colors, so they do not appear striking in appearance. They even create a calm atmosphere and make the house look clean.

The last good color as a house paint according to Islam is gray. In fact, this color was once used by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). In a narration, it is explained as follows: "Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) once went out with his head wrapped in a piece of gray cloth."
