Dream - Fasting Arafah is one of the recommended fasts performed on the 9th of Zulhijah. It is done before the Eid al-Adha. Although it is only performed once a year, the virtue of fasting Arafah is very special. Therefore, it would be a pity to miss it. This is explained in a hadith: "The Prophet Muhammad was asked about fasting on the day of Arafah, and he replied, 'Fasting on that day will expiate the sins of the previous year and the coming year.'" Running the fast of Arafah is able to erase the sins of the past and future of those who perform it. This worship must be done sincerely in order to obtain forgiveness from Allah SWT. Thus, our selves can be cleansed from the sins that have been attached all this time.

Through fasting Arafah, this can strengthen the spiritual bond with Allah SWT. Because when fasting Arafah, worldly matters should be set aside and the goal is solely for Allah SWT. By doing so, this worship can increase faith, righteousness, and awareness of the greatness of Allah SWT.

Running the fast of Arafah is an act of worship to get closer to Allah SWT. Namely by abstaining from eating, drinking, and actions that have the potential to break the fast. This is solely to obtain the blessings of Allah SWT. By performing the fast of Arafah, it shows obedience and sincerity in carrying out the commands of Allah SWT.

The virtue of fasting on Arafah is to emulate the Prophet Muhammad. He is the last Messenger of Allah who was commanded to guide humanity towards the right path, which is the path of Allah through his teachings. One of the recommended acts is to observe the voluntary fast on Arafah. Observing the fast on Arafah not only fulfills a recommended act but also brings one closer to Allah.

I intend to fast the sunnah of Arafah tomorrow for the sake of Allah the Almighty. Meaning: "I intend to fast the sunnah of Arafah tomorrow for the sake of Allah the Almighty." If you forget to recite the intention at night, then the intention for fasting Arafah can be recited in the morning: I intend to fast the sunnah of Arafah for the sake of Allah the Almighty. Meaning: "I intend to fast the sunnah of Arafah for the sake of Allah the Almighty."
