After inspecting the aircraft upon landing, the crew found that the second window was also missing and the third window was detached. The fourth window appeared slightly protruded from its frame. One broken window was then found from the runway during routine inspection.

According to AAIB, those windows may have been damaged due to high-powered spotlights used during the filming the day before the flight. The lights, intended to create the illusion of sunrise, were placed about 20 to 30 feet from the aircraft, illuminating the right side first, then the left side of the aircraft for a total of over nine hours. Foam layers have melted from at least one window and some window glass appears curved due to thermal heat.
