Dream - The adorable behavior of cats and their affectionate nature make them loved by many people. Their cute nature is often used to relieve stress or simply as entertainment during leisure time.

Like any other living creature, cats will also die. It is not uncommon for the owner to feel lost and sad when their cat dies. When a cat meets its end, will it enter heaven? This question arises because cats are one of the beloved animals of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.

It is narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had a cat named Moeza. With this story, many cat lovers believe that cats will enter heaven. So, is it true?

The decision of entering heaven and hell for Muslims is the right of Allah SWT, based on their deeds during their lifetime. This opinion is related to humans as rational beings. So, what about animals, especially cats? Will cats enter heaven?

Cats and humans are certainly different, because humans are equipped with intellect that enables them to distinguish between right and wrong. While cats only have instincts. To answer the question of whether cats enter heaven, it is better for us to understand the following hadith first, that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah will gather all creatures, all crawling animals, birds, and humans. Allah says to animals and birds, 'Be you earth!' That is when the disbeliever says, 'Oh, if only I were to become earth.' (Surah An-Naba: 40)." (Narrated by Ibn Jarir)

This hadith shows the difference between animals, including cats, and humans. Every good or bad deed of animals is not taken into account or rewarded. It means that cats do not enter heaven like humans who believe as desired by Him.

However, that does not limit Allah's power to bring together the owner of the animal with their pets in heaven. The people of heaven will receive many pleasures, including if they ask to meet their beloved animals.

"Hadith of the Prophet PBUH"

Regarding the meeting between the owner and their pet, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, when there was an Arab Bedouin who loved his camel, he asked him (PBUH) if there would be camels in heaven. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) replied, "O Arab Bedouin, if Allah wills to admit you into heaven, then whatever you desire will be there, pleasing to your eyes."

In another hadith, it is mentioned that although cats do not enter heaven, this animal can help someone enter heaven or even cause someone to enter hell. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, "A woman was punished because of a cat that she confined until it died of hunger. Therefore, she entered hell because of it." (HR. Bukhari)

So it is clear that the answer to the question of whether cats enter heaven is no. However, nevertheless, we should treat animals well, as they can be a means of good deeds to reach Allah's heaven.
