Dream – Frankfurt makes a new history in 2024. The city that stretches along the River Main becomes the first region in Germany to celebrate Ramadan. According to dw.com, the city nicknamed Mainhattan, because it is filled with many skyscrapers, installs many decorations, including moon-shaped lights, stars, and a large "Happy Ramadan" sign in the middle. The city, with a population of 800 thousand people, is the fifth largest city in Germany after Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, and Cologne. Frankfurt is also one of the money printing machines for the State of Bir.
Frankfurt has become one of the multicultural cities considered proud in Germany. This city is home to around 100,000 to 150,000 Muslims, or 15 percent of the city's population.
One of the highlights of Ramadan 2024 in Frankfurt can be seen on Grosse Bockenheimer Strasse, as one of the pedestrian routes. The area known as Fressgass, which means food alley - because it has many cafes and restaurants in it, is adorned with large signs that say 'Happy Ramadan!'. There are also other decorations that add to the festive atmosphere. These decorations are installed during the month of Ramadan from March 10th to April 9th, 2024.
The Chairman of the Frankfurt City Council, Hilime Arslaner, expressed that Ramadan is a time to reflect on what is important in life. In addition, he admitted to being pleased with the decorations installed around the city as messages of peace during the month of Ramadan are visible in Frankfurt. "Ramadan is a time when people reflect on what is truly important in life, such as having food, a roof over their heads (home), and peace and comfort with family, friends, and neighbors. I am glad that messages of peace during the month of Ramadan will be visible in Frankfurt," he said.
Mayor of Frankfurt, Nargess Eskandari-Grünberg, said that the decoration as a message of peace is very important, especially in times of war and crisis. These decorations are considered as symbols of the light of togetherness to fight prejudice, discrimination, anti-Muslim racism, and also anti-Semitism.

"I am happy with the recognition of Muslims," Seddadi explained. The lighting around the city of Frankfurt is said to have cost 75 thousand euros or around Rp1.2 billion. Report: Nisya Aprilya.
