Pj Governor of East Kalimantan, Akmal Malik, encourages the Tourism Office to develop several areas that have the potential to involve and benefit the local community.

Akmal also invited the Tourism Agency to learn together in managing this potential by collaborating with partners and other stakeholders in the tourism industry. "Like the Mahakam River, which can actually be managed more optimally like the Chao Praya River in Thailand," he said.
